The Great Escape Plan
I've had some lovely feedback from readers this month, on "Road Trip" and "Between the Lines" particularly.
One reader found that Road Trip stirred fond memories and gave her the urge to plan a road trip of her own...'maybe check out that festival, too'
While another reader reflected on the feeling of 'trauma' at the 'world gone mad' and how losing herself in the kindness she found in the pages of Between the Lines felt like she'd escaped for a day.
Reading does that for me too. And while my mind is engaged in the story, that means it's not concentrating on other things, like the state of the world, the cost of living, our political failings, the damage to our environment. If you haven't discovered that absolute pleasure, the joy, of getting lost in a good book, I do hope you find that one day.
