February Update
For some unexplained reason, my January update was apparently lingering in 'draft' mode for the month!
I've just deleted it. Nobody wants to read old news, do they?!
So now we're halfway through February and that lovely calm beginning to the new year has suddenly disappeared down a rabbit hole! Novel Number 6 - as yet still untitled - was making great strides until January got hold of it and buried it under the chaos of a major music project.
But I'm breathing again now and have returned to it this week. Whew. There's a rather challenging character in this one and he's not very communicative. Yet. I'll keep poking him 'til he reveals his secrets. 😉
If you haven't had a chance to dance with Effie Lyons, maybe this month is a good time to check her out - a friend who recently finished "The Unremarkable Effie Lyons" messaged me about how much she enjoyed this very interesting woman. And also thanking me for the 'happy ending'... This story could have gone either way but life seems to be somewhat dark and overwhelming these days, I really appreciated the clever way you tied this one up with a 'feel good finish' And I did - feel good after the read.
Sometimes it's just necessary to remind ourselves that not all tales need to wallow in the dark side. A book that leaves a smile on your face can feel like a warm hug after a bad day! Say hello to Effie here: Meet Effie
