APRIL UPDATE

 Didn't this month fly? And isn't it hard to hunker down in the writer's cave when the glorious Autumn weather beckons.

But I did manage to get another few chapters written on the new novel - Number 6. And I did get a new vid completed for the Vlog, a short clip about inspiration and a short anecdote about the work in progress. 

But inspiration is a funny thing. Because I've been a prolific songwriter now for @ 25years and have found that there's no fixed answer to where it comes from. I had an ex boyfriend once who told me that heartbreak was essential to a songwriter in order to write good songs! (fool!)  And people often ask "where the hell do all those ideas come from?! Don't you ever run out?"

But you've only got to watch life in action every day to know that stories and ideas are in abundance all around us, all the time. Everybody has a tale and every tale can be told in many different ways, from different perspectives. And even the silliest anecdote can be enough to spring an idea into a page turner. Y've just got to be open to the opportunities.
